In a highly innovative industry that relies on multiple players for success, secure information exchange is essential to protect confidential information. With a long and complex supply chain, the automotive sector requires a structured and secure approach to the storage and exchange of information. In this digital age, information security needs extend beyond automotive suppliers.
Vehicle connectivity and data exchange requirements lead the automotive industry to require more data protection mechanisms to be assessed by the automotive value chain. As a major partner of the automotive OEMs, ARC Europe has decided to undergo the TISAX assessment to comply with industry standards regarding data security and the secured exchange of information.
On 21st of January 2021,despite the pandemic context, ARC Europe SA became the first roadside assistance company covering Europe to receive the TISAX Label with AL2 covering high protection needs
As of November 5th, 2023 ARC Europe SA has been assessed at AL3 to handle Information with Very High Protection Needs, Data Protection according to EU-GDPR Art. 28 (“Processor”) & Very High Availability.
“ This is a great milestone for ARC Europe, as our customers can rest assured that data handling with ARC Europe will be managed with well-defined technical operating measures based on best information security practices in the market”, explained Willem Aal, CEO of ARC Europe.
TISAX assessments are not only a requirement of certain manufacturers (OEMS), but also contribute to building trust in the supply chain. Participating suppliers can benefit by:
- Being recognized by automotive manufacturers;
- Preventing information security breaches and cyber-attacks;
- Gaining the trust of customers;
- Identifying and addressing risks;
- Receiving recognition for appropriate information security processes;
- Sharing assessment results via the ENX exchange.
